Prolly do a new KLR450 based off of the KX450 like Honda did.
No way does Kawi base the new bike off the KX. Look for something with a twin cylinder engine (Versys) engine. They already have 400 & 650 versions of it.
Welp they will prolly want anothrr relatively light weight single that I’d fairly dirtworthy. IMO
@Clayx Big singles (650cc) are way too difficult & expensive to be emissions compliant. It’s much easier for a 650 twin to pass the regs vs a 650 single. KLR is all about the $. Me thinks the replacement is gonna be a twin (if it’s in the 650cc range).
Well Honda, KTM AND Husky all have street legal 450s. Suzuki has an off road 450. It is inevitable.
Ya, and ICBC has a under 400 and 401 - 750 class for insurance so a Yamie T7 is your best best for the insurance dollar. Or a Beta 390 RRS…
