Getting hosed

(Frany) #1

I went to register my 501. $914 for bare bones insurance. I got 43% discount too. Includes fuxk all too. Just to legally drive it on the road.

Were getting hosed. I remember it was like $600 a few years ago on a 530.

Jesus, that’s expensive. I know bikes under 400cc are less expensive, but is there some other price hike for bikes over 500cc or something considering you’ve got 510cc? I mean, would a Beta 500 RR-S be cheaper 'cause it’s under 500cc?

Dosent matter. Rate class is from 450cc to 750cc

Don’t get a full year. You won’t be riding in half this a bit

Here’s a hoser:

I got phones for the kids and if I want them on a separated account from my work phone I need to unblock their data and pay $70 per phone for data!

(Bryon Enns) #6

Yup, same price as the mighty 690 aka Big Girl. But taxes aren’t going up too much…

(Arthur Pappas) #7

Sounds like maybe the modern day DRZ aka 390 RR-S is the ticket to cheap(er) insurance, eh?

(Al Willard) #8

Insured my 250 / 525 KTM. Full-year insurance $388.

(Clayton James William Walker) #9

Haha. Good one Al. Yer so smrat!

(Bryon Enns) #10

I gotta get some 390 stickers for the Big Girl and some KTM 390 Adventure paperwork.

(Al Willard) #11

Lol that’s it.

(David Renfrew) #12

Sounds like the infamous Hoser got hosed.

ICBC hosing all of us. And don’t think for a second that ‘competition’ would lower prices. For reference, just have a look at the mobile phone cartel comprised of Rogers, Telus, and Bell. Some good ‘competition’ there…

I’d imagine a DRZ would still be pretty cheap to insure, yes?
